David-James Gonzales is a Postdoctoral Scholar and Teaching Fellow at the University of Southern California. His research and teaching interests include 20th century U.S. history, urban/metropolitan history, U.S.-Mexico borderlands, and Latina/o politics. His current book length project examines the intersection of migration, urbanization, and Latina/o social movements in the development of Orange County, CA. David-James is also a producer and co-host of the podcast New Books in Latino Studies.
