About the Journal
DRÜ is a bulletin produced by Acción Cultural Ngäbe (ACUN) in Panama from 1988 to 1998.The publication provides a record of Ngäbe culture, language, land rights, political concerns, natural resources, and community life, offering an important perspective on Indigenous experiences and advocacy in Panama.
This digital edition provides free access to 61 digitized issues of DRÜ, preserving and making these community-produced materials are available for researchers, students, and the public. The collection is a collaboration between ACUN and the University of Kansas Libraries and follows a postcustodial model in which the original materials remain with ACUN while KU provides digital preservation and access.
