Author Guidelines

The University of Kansas Law And Literature Working Paper Series is designed for papers in all stages of the writing process. Works may range from initial drafts to fully-formed article length submissions. Our goal is to foster a learning community where individuals may share their knowledge, insights, and curiosity on the topic of Law And Literature.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author.

Working Paper Series Guidelines

Format and Style of Submissions

Submitted papers must be in Microsoft Word (.docx) format. Submissions should include a concise yet imaginative title. Authors are encouraged to include a brief abstract of no more than 250 words, although one is not required.

Text should be double-spaced, use 12-point font, and have one-inch margins on all sides. In general, the Working Paper Series follows Bluebook citations, but authors may use the citation style most familiar to them.

Form of Submission

Submissions should be made using the Working Paper Series online submission system. For questions regarding submissions or the online submission system, please contact Mary Hansen at m425h065@ku.edu
