Socially Deictic Use of a Body-part Term in Turkish

In this paper I analyze the use of a particular body part term in Turkish. The analysis is partly based on the work by Liston 1972. Furthermore, I demonstrate that this particular body part term appears frequently in usage with socially determined deictic meanings.Downloads
