Hualapai language-- Phonetics, Glottalization (Phonetics)Abstract
Without providing substantial evidence, many Hualapai analysts have posited the glottal stop as one of the phonemes of the language. In this paper, I will argue that the glottal stop is for the most part predictable. Evidence from other Yuman languages also shows that this phenomenon is not unique to Hualapai.Downloads
