Temporary Submission Pause for New Manuscripts
Dear Readership of Reptiles & Amphibians,
We appreciate everyone's patience as we have gone through our backlog of manuscripts over the last year and a half. The number of manuscripts has significantly increased since 2024 and this increase is a sign of the hard work and scientific rigor by submitting authors. We deeply appreciate the efforts by those who have submitted manuscripts in this journal and attribute our success to the hard work of the authors, editors, and reviewers of Reptiles and Amphibians. We still have a backlog of manuscripts we wish to proceed with to ensure all submissions are dealt with and get the attention they deserve. We will be pausing submissions on September 15, 2026 and encourage submission of manuscripts that are near-complete prior to this deadline. We will reopen submissions on June 1, 2027. Although we do not want to pause submissions again, we do this to ensure a fair publication timeline for our readership and contributors and a smoother publication process from here on out. Thank you for your continued support and patience as we make changes to create a better publishing venue for your hard work and scientific contributions.
With gratitude,
Justin Bernstein
