The USCACA is pleased to invite nominations for the USCACA 2025 Youth Scholar Awards, including three joint awards (USCACA-AFCR, USCACA-MCE, USCACA-TargetMol). These awards recognize 3-6 outstanding junior Chinese (or American Chinese) faculty for their significant contributions to translational or clinical cancer research. Eligible candidates are junior Chinese (or American Chinese) investigators (Assistant Professor or equivalent) who are currently conducting translational or clinical cancer research in the United States. Selection will be based on demonstrated scientific merit and impactful achievements.
Each awardee will receive a Recognition Plaque and an honorarium of USD $1,000.
Award Ceremonies:
For awardees based in China: The 2026 awards will be presented during a joint USCACA symposium in China in October or November 2026.
For awardees based in the United States: The 2026 awards will be presented at the 2027 ACACR/USCACA Annual Meeting, held in conjunction with the 2027 AACR Annual Meeting in April 2027 in Orlando, Florida.
Nominations:
Nominations may be submitted by both USCACA members and nonmembers. All nomination materials should be submitted as PDF attachments via email to the USCACA Scholarship Selection Committee at 2024award@uscaca.org.
Deadline for candidates in China: September 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM (U.S. Eastern Time)
Deadline for candidates in the United States: December 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM (U.S. Eastern Time)
Required Nomination Materials:
- Nomination letteraddressed to the Selection Committee, concisely describing the candidate’s achievements and qualifications (one page).
- Candidate’s curriculum vitae, including a complete list of publications.
- Outline of the candidate’s research plan(one page).
- One or more supporting lettersfrom the candidate’s current director, chair, dean, and/or a senior faculty member in the field.
- All documents must be combined into a single PDF file.
