Challenges in Translational Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia Research

Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH) is a common condition of aging that affects up to 80% of men in their lives. It requires medical and often surgical management. Despite its prevalence, molecular breakthroughs in the last 20 years have been lacking. In the following article, we outline the challenges and limitations within existing BPH research to frame the major issues for future researchers.
