Founded in 1973, Auslegung: Journal of Philosophy is an open-access, peer-reviewed, and free-to-authors philosophy journal based in the Department of Philosophy, at the University of Kansas.
Over 40 years and 30 volumes, the mission of Auslegung is to facilitate engagement and dialogue with philosophical ideas, from diverse and wide ranging perspectives, while highlighting general themes and the strengths of each editorial board.
Submissions that are well-developed and argued, on any topic of philosophy, are welcome and encouraged. This includes full-length publishable drafts, book reviews, commentary, and the newly implemented 1000-word philosophy format. All submissions receive reviewer feedback, and all 1000-word philosophy submissions are accepted on a rolling-basis and published along side reviewer feedback.
