DSJ Appoints Two New Associate Editors to Advance Druze Scholarship

2025-12-19

I’m pleased to announce the appointment of two new Associate Editors who have generously offered their time and expertise to support the editorial work of the Druze Studies Journal (DSJ).
Said Abou Zaki and Charles H. Johnson will join our editorial team to advance the journal’s mission of promoting scholarship on Druze studies. Both will help review submissions, coordinate peer review, and guide authors through the editorial process. Additionally, each will lead a major annual project:

  • Said Abou Zaki will oversee the Book Reviews section, curate reviews, and foster scholarly discussions on key works in the field, with reviews published in DSJ.
  • Charles H. Johnson will manage the Bibliography of Periodical Literature on the Druze, culminating in an annual article for DSJ.

Their contributions will be invaluable in maintaining the journal's quality and supporting its growth. Please join me in welcoming Said and Charlie to the team and thanking them for their commitment to our scholarly community.

Warm regards,
Dr. Rami Zeedan
Associate Professor, The University of Kansas
