This paper discusses the syntax and semantics of causative constructions in Nepali. The results of this study lend support to the hypothesis of syntactic iconicity between the degree of structural integration of the causative constructions on the one hand, and the degree of conceptual encapsulation of cause and effect relation encoded on the other.Downloads
