Call for Cover Art: Summer 2026 Issue

The Midwestern Journal of Undergraduate Sciences invites artists, designers, and scientifically minded creators to submit original cover art for our Summer 2026 issue, which will feature research and reviews centered on nucleic acid vaccines.

From mRNA platforms to emerging DNA-based technologies, this issue highlights one of the most transformative areas in modern biotechnology. We are seeking artwork that captures the innovation, complexity, and impact of these approaches—whether through scientific visualization, conceptual illustration, or creative interpretation.

Submissions are open to students, educators, and members of the broader community with an interest in science and art.

Submission Deadline: April 15, 2026

Selected Artist Receives:

  • Featured placement as the official cover of the Summer 2026 issue
  • Recognition within the journal and associated promotional materials
  • Distribution of your work to an academic and professional audience

Submission Guidelines:

  • Original, unpublished artwork
  • High-resolution format suitable for print (300 dpi or higher)
  • Include artist name, affiliation (if applicable), and a brief description of the work
