Author Guidelines

We encourage the submission of papers which deal with any aspect of French or Francophone literature. We accept papers in French and English. Papers should be in Microsoft Word document and conform to MLA 8 style. Papers should be approximately 6,000 words in length (bibliography and reference notes included.)

Along with the submission of your article, please include an abstract of no more than 300 words that introduces the article. All submissions should also contain pertinent author information: name, title/position, institutional affiliation, postal and e-mail addresses.

Submission How-Tos for Authors:

Plagiarism Detection: 
The journal actively checks for plagiarism through the use of SafeAssign software to review submission for originality.

Article Processing Charges (APCs):
This journal does not charge APCs or submission charges.

Statistics:
Authors can view article download statistics for published articles within their accounts.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the author has removed all identifying information from the manuscript. See instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review.
