Abstract

A replacement name is proposed to remove a case of secondary homonymy within the genus Heriades Spinola (Megachilinae: Osmiini).  Heriades (Heriades) micheneriana Engel, new name, is established in place of H. (H.) micheneri (Gupta & Sharma), a junior homonym of H. (Neotrypetes) micheneri Timberlake.
